New rule by Vivek and Elon will make all the federal employees come to the office and work 5 days a week. Trump is very serious about DOGE ig to cut down on government red tape, and they think getting everyone back to the office will make a lot of people quit their jobs on their own.

In the US many people have two jobs. Some even have their own business. One of my team member was a realtor. He would buy houses, work on them and flip it. Everyone knew it. Infact in many meeting he and my manager would talk about houses that are available for sale in their knowledge.
In the US having an additional business is seen as a talent not frowned upon. In India, we hate to see others happy. If they even suspect you are looking for another job, you will lose promotion and bonus.
