Election Day - leave .. how to apply?

Does it show in timesheet ? I am in project of a different location so my timesheet doesnt show it as a leave for thw day of elections on mu state ..

Send a mail providing the date on which you will take leave and provide the reason that it is for election. Doesn't matter where your project is.
