When will you have EL encashed ?? Is it when it is beyoond 40 ??

And how much??

I had 44+ EL and next month I got encashed leaves which were extra after 44 with basic salary per day

No basic salary per day is wrong I believe

Its always better to use extra EL than encashing it.

Lets assume you monthly in hand 40000 and basic salary is around 11000.

If you use EL it will get leave from work+you get salary for entire day which is around 2000.

But encashing it will only give basic pay/22 per EL. So you only will get per month 500

Beyond 44 it gets encashed and added to your March salary. The calculation is ( (EL-44) * basic salary )/20

I think TCS stopped EL encashment for excess leaves above 44 days, 3 years ago.

Already paid out in Mar salary . Anything above 44 EL gets encashed. I had about 12 extra i think.
