I just got a dream job role from MS and they gave me a salary bump of 54% which is substantial but I need to leave Pune for it and relocate to Mumbai. That said my partner lives in Pune with me and we were planning to tell our parents this Diwali and with all the fire crackers bursting around our family would have the eco friendly ones haha but with me relocating to Mumbai in January, if I take the offer it would be really difficult to convince them for our marriage. My current company promoted me too but the role that I want is the one MS is offering me. He comes from a Marwari family and I am a Rajput, don’t know how we will manage this but hoping someone would give me some clarity on this. What should I do!!?
Working in MicroSoft will sure add weightage to your pitch to your and her family and it is gonna set a roadmap to get job easily in FAANG+.
Ohh She got the job in MS not He. Then it will be difficult situation. Ladki ladke se jada paise kamati hai, aisa log kahenge. But you will gain immense respect by your in-laws bcz PAISA bolta hai.
Don’t think you have to compromise in either side. Both is good for your peace of mind and professional growth. Make it happen at both side. Chakk De Phatte.
