Easy to work with, respectful person over the brilliant but toxic one?

As a manager would you hire/keep a person who has good technical skills but arrogant and moody at times along with being disrespectful to colleagues or you will hire/keep a person who is average in technical skills but easy to work with?

Depends on the situation mostly. But Technical skills can be easily achieved using gen AI tools hence don't think good technical skills matters now a days.

Yeah, that’s my opinion as well. Anyways even if we put AI Tools aside I think building technical skills are easier compared to changing the behaviour and attitude of a person. But wanted to check other’s view also on this

I doubt to hire coz other team member’s productivity and team atmosphere will get impacted. Coz of one bad hire whole team cud suffer n leave . Now days tech stuff can be handled via AI but behaviour is impt key to keep team motivated and working . Ppl can learn n adjust with tech as opportunity but bad behaviour never
