Earning 28lpa, 6yoe in bengaluru. Switching to mumbai?

I'm looking at a 30-40% hike. But not sure how much pay to ask based on cost of living in mumbai.

one of my friend was at JPMC BLR and now shifted to mumbai, he pays 40k rent for 1 BHK in Goregaon, says the space is half of what he got in BLR (kadubeesanhalli). In BLR he was just paying 18k.

He recvd some 15% hike but he chose Mumbai cause his hometown is super close to Mumbai. otherwise food he says way cheaper in mumba
