Early release with notice period salary- will it cause issues with new employer?
My previous employer released me early and compensated me with salary in lieu of notice period (2 months). My exit was formal with proper relieving and experience letters.
Will this be seen as a negative by new employer? How should I communicate this during offer discussions with new employer?

No, just say u had option for early exit and you took it

I would say you are blessed you got an early exit and full 2 months notice without a layoff situation. It's not rare but nothing to worry about.
Just tell your new employer you were on bench and the old employer had no project to tag me so when I dropped papers they happily released me early.
