Trending @Accenture; Early release rejection, Need advice

Hi Community,

As announced in my previous post, I’ve resigned and am currently serving my notice period. Despite having a one-on-one session with my leads, there was no attempt to negotiate.

A few days later, I requested an early release and offered to buy out the 30 days and serve 60 days. However, my manager declined, citing reasons like "multiple resignations happening, and I can't show favoritism" (which they don't follow during appraisals).

The application I was working on was decommissioned in June, and I now find myself with no tasks or dependencies, just sitting idle all day. I’m considering reaching out to senior management and HR but wanted to seek advice from the community first.

If anyone has suggestions on how I should approach this before reaching out the new organization, I’d really appreciate your input.

Thanks in advance!

Approach senior management or HR with a clear, concise case. Highlight your idle time and willingness to buy out. Also, check if the new organization can be flexible with joining dates.

Yes, you should reach out to hr or senior management.. there is nothing wrong in that.. specially when you are on bench or without any project

I too have resigned and requested for early release but manager said that we have clear instructions from LT team to not allow early release, what the hell this guys are seriously,

I have looped CEO too in the mail chain and asked again to consider it 😉
