Trending @Infosys; Early release during the notice period.

Hello!!

I have an offer for a Master's in Ireland, for this year's September intake. I am yet to apply for a study visa. The slots might open towards the end of April for a visa application. And I might have to wait for around a month to get the visa application decision. This would not leave me with enough time before September to complete my notice period of 3 months, considering I wanted to spend one month's time in August spending time with family, without having to work.

One option I have is to resign towards the end of April even before I receive my visa so that I have May, June, July to serve notice. And August is my family time. Highly risky this is, in case my visa gets rejected for some reason.

So, is there any way I can ask for an early release or some way out at least?

P.S: 12 days of WFO is mandatory for my client, so I don't think I can get last month as complete WFH.

Thanks in advance!!

Apply resignation in the month of April. If something goes wrong with your Visa Approval, you can still withdraw your resignation during Notice Period.

Let your manager also know about your plan.

Thanks, this seems doable.

All depends on your manager. If there is no dependency, then it is easily a doable thing. Check with your HR partner for more details.

Yes, feels like I won't get an early release, still will check with HR once.
