Early ITA Promotion Criteria
Hey, I have heard there is a criteria to get early promoted to ITA after getting continuous A bands. Can someone tell what is the actual criteria and is there a waiting period in the current grade to be eligible.

Bare minimum eligibility criteria - 3-3.5 years experience, all A bands. But remember it's just an eligibility criteria. Actual promotion depends on various other factors like - company performance, unit performance, other pending promotion cases, priority, resource criticality, your immediate supervisor's business justification of promoting you - also if that aligns with current business goals etc, etc.

I will be promoted to system engineer next month , I was thinking to ask my manager for ITA promotion as I have got continuous A Bands. But I have heard that we need to spend minimum of 2 Years in current grade to be eligible for promotion. So I am not sure if I would be eligible or not.

That's correct. You cannot jump promotions like that.

You can request after you have 2 A bands. I have initiated promotion for my team member, she became ITA in fasttrack mode. She was teally hardworking and critical resource so the delivery manager was okay to do it.

If I am recently promoted to system engineer, can I ask my manager to initiate promotion for ITA. I want to know if there is any cooling period before the promotion.

No specific criteria as such…only 2 requirements 1) project budget 2) Ur supervisor

On paper they will say continuous A bands. But no such thing.
It all depends on your manager.
