Current Status: Holding one offer. Interviewing elsewhere. HRs making me feel like I cheated on them.
So I’ve got an offer in hand – yay! 🥳 But I’m still giving interviews – because, you know, rent, EMI, Swiggy bills, and my dream of affording paneer without checking the price. 💸
But here’s where things get dramatic – Some HRs are suddenly turning into emotional black belts:
🗣️ “You’ll definitely join us, right?” 🗣️ “Don’t leave us last minute if you get a better offer, okay?” 🗣️ “We’ve invested time in you…”
And I’m sitting here thinking – Ma’am, I’m not breaking up with you. I’m just job hunting, not ghosting a soulmate. 😅
Yes, the HR was sweet. The interview was smooth. But let’s be honest – we don’t accept offers just because the recruiter was polite or said “best of luck” with a smile. This is not Shark Tank, and I’m not emotionally investing in a pitch! 😂
At the end of the day, money matters. Growth matters. Peace of mind matters. Not joining a company doesn’t mean we’re ungrateful – it means we’re being practical.
So, anyone else here getting HR guilt-tripped while juggling interviews? How are you surviving the drama? Let’s laugh through the chaos together. 😄
