Trending @Cognizant; Dual Asset issue

During my onboarding to cognizant in Oct 2022, an attempt was made to deliver laptop to me through amazon. However, I never received that laptop nor shared otp with anyone. Since, I did not receive the laptop I raised a new laptop request as suggested by my manager. Laptop request was approved and delivered to me via courier.

After few months, I started receiving emails from DualAssetRecovery team saying that I have multiple assets and need to return one. I responded back to them saying that I hold only one laptop and never received other one and they acknowledged it by saying thanks for the update. I even raised a GSD ticket where they said IT team will take care of it.

Now I am on my notice period and I realized that still two assets we’re tagged under my name. So, I immediately raised GSD again on 20th May 2025. I provided them with all the evidences of my attempts to communicate this issue over the past years.

They investigated this issue for over a month now and they are saying that it was delivered to me and is operational. However, when I checked that asset details in OneC last used is showing as Nov 2022 and discovered user is blank.

Even though I conveyed all this to them all they are saying is vendor said it is delivered to your address via otp so I need to pay for the asset now.

My Last working day is in few weeks from now and they’re saying like this. Can anyone please provide your suggestions on this issue?

I really do not wish to pay for an asset which I did not receive.
