Trending @Infosys; Dropped e-separation in appraisal cycle
Guys seriously I need a hike of at least 20% , it's been 2.4 Year here and no expectations from management. So I dropped my e- separation will it work ? And yes I am in a project. Meanwhile, it's good for the notice period as if I appear in any interview they denied a straightway for 90 days NP. Waiting for some good suggestions

90% of the time, they won't retain you. Some folks in my team tried this stunt along with a counter offer in their hands. They simple ll ask if 10 to 12% hike would do and may be an onsite H1b nomination but in reality it's all a gimmik. If you have an offer in hand you can try for max 15% else they will simple say.. Nice working with you and good luck on your future endeavours. Welcome to Infosys world of reality.

By the way there is no intention to do any stunt, but I really need a hike, as I was joined without negotiation in June 2022. And I don't know any other way to negotiate.

Sorry if that offerended you, am also a senior consultant joined in 2021 July and no hike so far. 3 years without a single penny hike. So I understand your pain. Better looks for an opportunity outside, am doing the same. If you are getting more than 30% hike for for it.

Me too a band 5A and in the same boat ( no hike for past 2.1 years, that’s when I joined) Initiated esep couple of months back with an offer in hand. My super boss gave a clear indication that he can workout a max 20% revision. However I politely declined and not interested to get retained. I believe if I get retained with a hike then the working condition and future hikes are at stake.

Good timing with the appraisal cycle. But honestly it depends on your current salary. If you joined in the last 2-3 yrs , you would know the market reality with salaries. But very good chance if they want to retain you

Thank you sir for your genuine advice.

99% they will not retain you. I have one outstanding and one commendable rating in last two cycle and multiple times appreciation from the client. But still they offered me 20% retain max
Look for a 75+% hike outside you will get easily

I am trying hard outside, if I get definitely no sense to stay back here.

It is always better to go if you have some offer in your hand. Do not believe in any commitments. In IT sector things vary dynamically.

Hike bhul jaooo

20% won't happen dude, they aren't giving retention unless you're a very strong resource and have a co7nter offer, max you can expect is 7-10%
