Trending @Cognizant; Dropped and damaged company laptop 🤕

I have had my laptop for almost 2 years. And in this whole time, I always looked after it properly. Even made sure to regularly use screen cleaner and dust remover.

But yesterday, I accidentally knocked it over while getting off my desk for dinner. Charging cord got stuck in my foot, and pulled the whole thing down. 😭

Fortunately the screen and keys are still working. But it is majorly dented and the colours seem a bit off. Don't know how long it will hold up. Manager has already been a little upset with me for a few weeks. Not a good time to request a replacement. 😓

Generally all laptops are covered under warranty you can order replacement that should not be an issue.

Log a GSD. Let them figure out if they want to repair or replace. Don't worry about your manager. Your productivity is more important here. If your manager is professional, he will take care of approving replacement

Same happened with me last Saturday. Raise an gsd then the standard laptop request.
