Doubts incoming from a Hyderabad MBA student! 🔥 Need real talk on these 5 roles as a fresher

“Hey Grapevine fam 👋

DoubtDestroyer here

  • current MBA student in Hyderabad (fresher mode, no work ex yet). Placements season is looming, and I’m super confused between these specializations/roles:
  1. Business Analyst
  2. Marketing (digital/brand/product side)
  3. Finance (analyst/corporate/IB-ish)
  4. HR (recruitment/talent/employee relations)
  5. Operations (supply chain/process/logistics)

Can seniors/folks who’ve been there drop unfiltered insights on: • Real fresher salary range in India (esp Hyderabad/IT hubs like Deloitte, Accenture, Amazon, banks, FMCG)? What CTC can a decent MBA college expect in 2026-27? • Work-life balance — how many hours/week realistically? Any WFH/flexible vibes, or constant OT? • Stress levels — chill/moderate/high? What causes the most burnout (deadlines, people mgmt, numbers pressure, etc.)? • Pros & Cons — what you love/hate about the day-to-day? Growth speed, job security, fun factor, transferable skills?

Honest takes only—no sugarcoating! 😅 If you’re in one of these roles (or switched out), share your story. Bonus if you’re from Hyderabad scene. Helping destroy my doubts (and maybe others’)! Upvote if you’ve got tea on any of these.
