Dont make this mistake

Unless your product's value grows significantly with more users signing up (think network effects), keeping it free in hopes of monetising later is a mistake lot of startups make. Even a small price point—say, $1—completely changes the expectations your users have from your product. The sooner you learn this, the better.

Once your product is stable, bug-free, and delivering consistent value, introduce a paywall.

Of course, if you’re backed by generous VC funding, feel free to experiment endlessly—different rules (or no rules) apply there. For everyone else, time is money
