don’t join NCR based companies

NCR based startup are mostly lala run startup. recently a founder didn’t know what’s their interview process or why they want to hire , after making offer , they are saying we want to close position in next 1-2 months not now.

i pity on investor who invested in them. also one more reason to never join ncr based companies.

Absolutely. +1.

Typical traits include: Hierarchical, Single decision maker, Heavy micromanagement, Anathema towards Hybrid work, etc.

For folks from Northern India, NCR would likely feel closer to their home or culture or cusine. But the downside is the work culture at the top levels is horrifyingly "lala".

Don't judge all NCR startups based on 1-2 bad experiences. I have seen lala type mindset even in Mumbai/bangalore /Pune based startups. This lalaness is a core part of the Indian mindset and present everywhere in India.

My startup is in Delhi NCR, anti lala and fully remote lol.

No money though 🥲

it’s okay, if you will have better teammates , you will have money too. money is always a byproduct but your product should work and your team should be with you . that’s the most important thing

That's the thing, there can always be better team mates out there in the world. One also needs to look at opportunity cost.

Completely agree with this statement. Almost all unicorns have this issue.
On an unrelated note most listed startups are also from NCR. Not sure if there is a correlation between Lala mentality and propensity to get listed!

I have seen this more in early stage and started recently. i won’t be able to say much about listed or big players.

Can someone explain what does "lala" mean in this context? Currently interviewing for a ncr based startup.

Any startup that rises fund from outside with just an Idea, is a part of the "99% of the startup fail".
