Domain switch after 5 years

I have mostly worked in legacy codebase in Oracle org (C, Linux) and it's been nearly 5 years since I have joined. ( I had health issues for 2+ years due to which I couldn't prepare consistently), and I am feeling very stuck now, so how difficult would it be for me to switch to a Java based backend role and what should be the way forward for me
