Currently I am service notice period. Out of 90 days 45 days completed. How much time shall I dedicate to work in the project during notice?

In my friend's case,he got release from project post DM approval but still BPHR isn't allowing to shortfall NP,if he will post WFH for whole notice period will it be okay or any concerns will arise from HR team for offboarding? Please suggest..
