Does working at startups count as work experience for iims

Hello everyone, this might sound like a stupid question but ,I'm in my sem 6 rn and planning to give CAT and also get a job, I researched about CAT a lot and found out that internships don't count as work experience for IIMS, so I was wondering if working in a startup does count as a work experience or only the well established companies work, I just don't want to ruin my chances that are already low...
