Does TCS try to retain if you’re critical to the project? Any firsthand or secondhand experience?

Yes. I was retained with a package even higher than my offer letter, and I did not even share the letter. But that was during The Great Resignation.

I have read about a few cases even now.

Great Resignation means ? When resignation on the peaks ?

So how does it work? If they choose to retain, they must share the CTC letter or give something in written right?

Also, did they increase fixed pay or QVA mainly?

Yeah one of my colleague resigned, he had no backup , so they try to match that offer but he disagreed & left

I was retained in May with a 60% hike. But don't try it now. Discussion going on with my friend regarding retention, but almost sure its not going to happen. Now they are saying profit is less in this quarter, blah blah blah.

It's not TCS, but your unit / delivery manager takes the call

I heard they give max 20% now. During covid they were giving a lot.
