Does TCS has any policy where they lay off folks who are on bench for more than 3 months?

I am on bench since 2.5 months. Most of the positions for which my profile was shared with is put on hold. I am regularly visiting the RMG and I am regularly following up with the managers with whom my profile was shared with. 2 accounts rejected me after Client Evaluation due to mismatch in skills. I have 4 YOE. Have heard stated rumors stating that TCS is planning to lay off benched folks after the elections. Not sure how far it's true.
