Does Starting with a Low Salary Lock Your Future Growth?
Is it true that accepting a low package early on affects future salary growth?
I’ve been noticing that most HRs offer hikes based on previous CTC rather than actual market value. So if someone starts low, even after switching, they keep getting underpaid.
Is this the reality in today’s market? Or are there ways to break out of this cycle? 🤔 Suggest some guidances to get package of my market value.

Anyways to break this cycle

Struggle and switch. Most importantly negotiate hard for salary

Problem is hr not considering me when shortlisting for interview itself when asking for 100 percent hike as am getting very low now

Difficult but not impossible. The low tier and mid tier companies will try to lowball you based on current salary.
But there are reputed companies out there which have a fixed band and will place you inside that regardless of current ctc.
You need to get into a good MNC like that to get a jump.

Ofcourse I will try preparing for qa automation with devops then
