Does Stammering Affect Career Opportunities in the IT sector?

In the IT industry, can stammering significantly affect a candidate’s job opportunities, even if they have strong expertise in areas like AI and IoT? I know a fresher who is highly skilled but faces this challenge, and I’m curious about how much it truly impacts their prospects.....

I think personally in the early stages of career he or she would struggle. Because those are the years of proving who you are and what you are. During that period the struggle is real.

But once they find their footing and showcase work trust me nobody will care about the stammering if they can get the job done flawlessly. Only issue is chance of them facing a customer or speech role will be hard not impossible but hard.

Otherwise for delivery centric roles where what you deliver matters this will not matter once they establish a strong footing.

Despite being a highly skilled candidate, he was offered a Ninja profile at TCS due to his stammering. I believe this is an injustice to such a talented mind

Stammering does affect career in client facing role. Many time a normal developer speak with client business stakeholder. But Stammering can be curable in speach therapy.
