Does recent Lay offs happen only for freshers or for experienced as well

I have been hearing from everywhere tcs is laying off employees who are on the bench. Is it happened only for freshers or else any case of experienced employees as well. Let me know if anyone knows about this. If experienced people are also terminated. Let me know his experience and his job role.
