Trending @Accenture; Does it really matter?

So every time I have received a hike and a variable pay, I have been asked if I am satisfied with the amount. What if I were to object to the amount, would they try to increase it or listen to my reasoning for increasing it? Or is it just a lime that’s thrown my way?
