Job is never easy, but the nature of the difficulty changes.

In first half of your career, the challenges are more around being productive and giving 8 hours worth of daily output.

In second half of your career, the focus changes to leadership and strategic thinking, and how you can guide your team to deliver outcomes & deal with organizational politics, rather than your own personal daily productivity output.

As someone said, "in the first half of your career you're paid for what you can do, in the second half of your career you're paid for how much you know and can get done through others". 😊

Easier to switch till 12 YOE

After that, your package is too high and recruiters expect an all-rounder employee every time + such high paying roles get limited as most of the clients wants output in limited budget (kind of cost cutting due to which consultants with less than 8 YOE are hired more than very senior employees above 12 YOE)

Since you mentioned 12 YOE, let's assume CTC would be around 25 LPA. So do you mean when CTC crossed 25 LPA, it gets tougher ?
