Does hike delay lead to retrospective pay layer on?

Experienced colleagues in tcs, who have faced hike delays in previous years, do they give the withheld amount later on once it is released?

Or is it gone forever...

Gone forever. Last time it happened during the COVID year. It was given in Q3. But Q1, Q2 money not given.

unpopular opinion: maybe tcs should consider letting go of people who have been in bench for over 6 months, and ensure that those working, have atleast peanuts as hike
