Does Cognizant create a PF number on the first day of Onboarding?

My joining with cognizant is on 22nd May and HCL has promised the better offer which I will receive on 23rd May, I have asked Cognizant to extend my onboarding date but did not get a reply yet.

What if I join cognizant on 22nd May, will they generate PF number on first day of Onboarding?

I want to join HCL but safer side can I join cognizant on 22nd May and then join HCL, will there by any issue?

I joined HCL, requested Cognizant to extend the joining date and received a better offer from HCL

If you join then only they will create else nope

you will have pf overlap if you join. The best way is to avoid joining cognizant.
