Does Blockchain have any future?

With all focus on Generative AI, Data and ML and not to forget software and product development , I am curious to know whether Blockchain, web3, cryptography have any future (in India and globally).

Cryptography yes, it's a core computer science domain that has been used for decades (since WW2) and will be used for many more.

Blockchain and web3 don't seem to have bright job prospects currently. That might change in the future (or not).
