Does anyone know what is happening at Gojek?
I’ve heard some worrying rumours from Indo-based folks about possibility of layoffs in upcoming weeks/months. Does anybody know what’s going to happen or have an inside scoop?

Is Gojek even Gojek now? It's called GoTo after the merger with Tokopedia right? The merger based on all accounts I have read is lukewarm at best. No wonder they have to prune.

Org ya priority restructuring bolo, layoff is just too middle class. WTF from what I heard around last year they said another 1200 to be laid off. Shoppee even after edibta positive laid off so no surprises here 😭
In Shopee’s case the layoffs ended up influencing the positivity in EBITDA
Tbh it’s the only strong eComm platform in developing Asian markets. Nobody else has reached this point yet, and they continue to be stronger that Toko and Lazada in SEA
My friend got his offer rescinded last year so I guess they were in a rough patch.
Also laid-off like 2k employees from what I know.
There was already a gossip that there will be possibility of 2 or 3 rounds of layoffs after the first big one. However it was supposed to happen in 2 or 3 weeks but who knows. We will see.
