Does anyone else find the new ITR process difficult & stupid?
I filed ITR last year and was way happy with it because everything was pre-filled/automated and it was easy. But I guess anything that makes a taxpayer's life easy hurts Nirmala Tai! This year they changed the process to downloading some JSON, then a utility, then filling an excel bla bla.
Does anyone else also find the new ITR process difficult & stupid? Why did they do this?

Try to fill in July 2 week after form 16 received. Prefilled data will come from your working company. So it may take some time to reflect i guess. That's why majority people will file after receiving form16
They will activate it a bit late. The excel utility is first realised. May be in another 2-3 weeks. They will do it. Unless they have issued a circular that it won't be available this time

The option to do it online. Usually there is a. Online/offline mode. That online mode is not active now.
This time form-16 has all the data e.g. HRA and other deductions including 80C etc but while filing ITR they are missing these and you have to fill by yourself for deductions for old- regime.
Anyway it's last time I have opted for old regime.
