Does Anniversary appraisal provide hike or promotion?

It has been 9 months since I joined TCS. I know that I will be eligible only for Anniversary Appraisal which does not provide any promotion or hike. But, in my Confirmation letter it is written that my salary may be subject to revision post the anniversary appraisal. Can anyone help clear this confusion? Will I be eligible for hike in this anniversary appraisal?
