Do your parents know exactly how much you earn and save?

My dad was traveling to my place & asked me to book train ticket as otherwise flight will cost me too much. I pay 6 digit income tax monthly. He never asked what I earn. He just assumed I cannot afford a flight ticket. Problem is, I look poor due to simple dresses which are old too. After he visited me, he saw my flat, he told me - bhikhari jaisa kapde kyun pahenta hai? Mujhe laga ki tera financial problems hoga. Fathers are unique. They can't believe their son can do well.

Only my mother knows about my actual salary, but if I tell this to my father, he will open his mouth in front of relatives as something he can brag about, due to which I never told him my actual salary

My parents ask me but I am uncomfortable sharing the same with me. I make decent money. I kinda don't want to mix my personal and professional life
