Do you verify your would-be partner's employment details?

In an arranged marriage scenario, do you verify your would-be partner's salary and designation before saying the final yes? If so, how do you do it?

Ask him/her to send you salary slip and offer letter of the current organization then check on LinkedIn n other source about the employment

Salary slip or offer letter would be a bit too rude I guess

Verify the character, morals and values a person holds before looking into monetary aspects, that’s something that’s missing the most these days. I believe background check of these aspects are a must especially for an arrange marriage setup through matrimonial platforms. Money can be earned, but the other aspects should be the non-negotiable which is missing in most these days😃

Verifying the employment details will, in a way, be a basic check for morals & values as well because if the person is lying in those aspects, then it's definitely a red flag.

Also, curious to know how else do you verify morals & values?

What I have seen is tht ppl do visit their organisation and ask for salary slip through middleman in western and southern India, I guess Pandit G is the middleman in North. It's not rude to ask these in arrange marriage coz it's more of a deal between families, and in love marriage u already know or u can ask directly

You can verify through LinkedIn and search for salaries in GV for similar experiences/designations to get a rough ball park.. I have had experiences where girls have directly asked for salaries most of the time.. If it was in the early stage of discussions, we ended it right away if their expectations from my salary were too high while they were themselves earning less.

How do you verify that the designation & company they are saying is true?
