Do you use cred and why?

Curious about the cred app. Still not sure what problem it is solving apart from credit card bills tracking.

I guess I am wrong as the company is able to raise money. Though with valuation cuts.

It's awesome. Use it frequently

They have introduced a new feature called cred money where you can track all transactions done from all of your accounts in the same place. And also a good thing is I can pay my bills using credit card.

I see.

What kind of bills by credit card? Across multiple apps you should be able to pay with credit card, right?

Are they worth it? Mostly new brands and when I checked the prices on Amazon used to be similar or even less.

Yeah, some products can be found at a very reasonable price on some days. So it becomes a habit to check them everyday. But you def get some value of it. But thats just it. Just 2 3 mins of usage per day.

Folks who deleted Cred app, they still have your data. You'll have to drop them and email to delete all your information.

Na credit card hai aur na hi CRED

I voted for awesome and the reason is Cred Money. First of all, I know a lot of people are not even aware of the feature since it needs an invite from someone who has it already.

Second, even after you do get access, it needs some level of customisation from your end to make it work properly.

My suggestion to make the best out of it -

  1. Add all active bank accounts to it.
  2. Focus on your salary cycle timeline.
  3. Initially, you might need to manually Add A Tag to some transactions that are wrongly showing up in Incoming/Spends/Investments sections. For example- Self transfers show up in spends but in reality itโ€™s not a loss of money just a transfer, once you mark it as Self transfer, Cred automatically removes it correctly from spends.

After the initial setup, itโ€™s a very good tool to track expenses and investments! I use it regularly and Iโ€™m not in any way related to it, just a happy user trying to help out :))

Does it show each and every credit card transaction?

I wouldn't say it's awesome, it's okay. I've 2 credit cards so for me it's just easy to pay for both on one app, rather than paying individually on both bank apps

Why not use BHIM?

I have 4-5 credit cards... With Cred I can see all those bills at one place.... That's the only reason....
UI is modern but not very accessible

Deals/cashbacks sucks not worth at all

So if you use more than 2 credit cards, then only it will make sense for you to download and use

Cred can help one get some 1-2% off on credit card bills, but it will take time and effort.

  1. I have 4 credit cards, make 1000/- payments every few days to get the spinner and pocket about 300/- per month.
  2. They recently started with discounted gift cards, save about 1000/- per month, incremental to other platforms (Gyftr giving at 5% , Cred at 12% , so 7% incremental).
  3. Also, they have the daily Reward section, make about 200/- per month from there.

Overall, painstaking work, but I pocket ~1500/- per month from Cred.

Valuation does not matter to me, kaunsa hum koi bohot bhaari investor hain to care. Paisa thoda bach jaata hai bas, usse hi matlab hai bhai!
