Trending @Capgemini; Do you think CapG would care if someone died from overworking?

Lately I have been wondering about the work that I have been doing here. It is mindless and monotonous but I have to work extremely long hours.

I have almost no time to socialise with friends and family. I earn peanuts while my manager is having a great time. I am extremely overworked while many people on the same project are chilling.

I complained to my Team Lead but instead of helping me out he said, "Yeh to hota hi hai" I work very hard but I am being rewarded with more hardwork rather than appreciation and validation. I am not sure whether this is the right use of my time.

It feels like I have sold my soul to an evil corporation while I have nothing better to do apart from commuting, working, eating and sleeping.

Is it just me or does anyone else feel the same way?

It's happening with everyone man... The leads think this is the culture employees crave for.. and managers are just cost cutting and making money for them

I was in depression due to this and then I talk to my parents and they supported me and gave me hope and then I sent an email to my manager and my project director that I am getting paid for 9 hours so I will work from 9-6 and then log off whether I would have work or not. If not then change my project. And it really worked. Now they don’t expect much and side by side preparing for switch

No one cares about how you work.. how much time you work.. when it's time for increment they will get selfish and neglect you

There was one incident in CG few years back(I heard from my senior colleague) where employee died due to overwork and management were strict about work load and not promoting late night work.
It’s individual’s responsibility to say no to such works and not got into such habit.

I have seen someone dying on the desk in CG. It did happen. The guy worked for 3 days overnight. Plus he was quite young.
