Apart from fitness and step counting.. what other features do y'all see actual useful in smartwatches?
Few I could think of-

  • navigation while on 2w
  • music streaming while on jog(lte watch)
  • nfc payments
  • remote shutter for smartphone camera

I don't see the appeal of notifications on screen. For just fitness, bands are better than watches with higher battery life.

I don't see rings/bracelets/glasses taking off (atleast for next 5-7 years)

Good quality rings, etc are taking off, just not in India. Price point is prohibitive. In India, cheaper ones like Gabit etc are growing. Volume is still in mid 100k, but yeah, yet to figure out if it's a fad or actual behaviour change.

Can somebody tell me is Apple Watch worth a purchase for a person like me who has a bit of health anxiety or what people call it as hypochondriac?

It has been one of the best expensive purchases of my life. Worth every penny for past 11 months now. You get lot more Health insights rather than just step, calorie count & sleep vitals
