I’m confused about this - have heard about trafficking rings that I don’t know if it’s genuine or not.

Just tell them no.

It's not right to encourage begging. I would rather give them some job if I am capable. If I am not capable of that, then only thing I would do is work towards getting that capability....

99.5% of times I don't give money freely. 0.5% of times is when mom feels bad & I would rather not hear her cold bashing later..🙏

I’ve seen an uncle with specs standing at sony signal koramangala in the early 2010’s begging. He’s there even now, except it’s a different uncle with same makeup. Kinda make me feel like this is an organised activity.

Begging is a hustle. Governed by rules, quotas, areas and tactics. Beggars you see on the roads make nice amount of money even though the conversions are not that high.

If you see a little kid or baby who is into that hustle, know that most of the money you give goes into their handler's hands, and that huge percentage of that into a gunda and politician and bureaucrats.

Just try to ask someone who has been working with beggars for a really long time (NGO or such) regarding this and you'll dish you more truths.
