Do you feel the job market is improving
Based on your personal experience.. chatting with friends/ colleagues, water coller talks, scrolling LinkedIn, colleagues switching jobs

I don't think people voting option 1 are actively looking out

If you don't mind what your experience is in the current job market

Been interviewing for one month today, no offers yet. Started prepping in January first week. Have been rejected after final round once, put on hold at one place after 3 rounds, have a final round today, been rejected after 1st round once. Have received multiple calls but interviewed with only 6 companies till now, HRs ghost for no reason.

Definitely not good for freshers. I got a campus placement at 12lpa which got revoked due to recession. Now I can't get interviews even for 5lpa because my college is T2/3🥲

This tells lot about how bad it is. Companies are recruting to save their reputation and firing to save money. These are not health companies, software jobs are going to become less dependent on engineers, with AI going to write entire subsystems in 2-3 years.

AI IDEs are scary. Been working with Cursor. Improves my dev time by 60%. A year down the line more tools will emerge to make coding easier.

It’s a shiteshow everywhere!!

What's that 🤔

It’s a shot show bro.
Mass layoffs.
Offers scrapped by organisations.
Low hikes while switching (how low-20-30%)
HRs taking their own sweet time to reply.
500-1000 folks competing for one position
4-5 rounds of interviews
Doubling of work due but paid peanuts.
So yes.
It’s a shiteshow everywhere
Made a switch in Jan.. took the first offer I received, but been getting a lot of calls before and after joining. Situation was very dire in Dec, but improved a lot in Jan. Went to final rounds in a few good companies, but flunked due to my mistakes. Took an offer at 30% hike at my present org. Calls coming after joining are also from respectable companies. Yoe: 6 years Role: Front-end developer Was laid off from VMware due to the acquisition on Dec 31st (garden leave since Nov) and was transparent about it to all HR calls

It's still pretty bad in my recent experience, 2.8 yoe backend, python

How is the market for a person who is Senior Data Analyst with 4YoE and is looking to switch ?

A company approached me for a fukkstack developer role at my current base lmao (they had more Esops though but I don't see them having any future anytime soon).
So that's how the market is. Jobs are there but they are paying less because well the supply is too much.

Bro Is Zomato also started layoffs?

💀 that's all I can say . 2 yoe

Can see numerous job postings, been applying to 20-25 jobs everyday but not getting revert backs , need some guidance and help to at least appear for interviews.
1 yoe , currently in cloudops looking for sde or data analyst positions
