Do you check poll results before voting?
Curious behind the reasoning behind having the "view results" button before submitting a vote. Imo i feel like this usually leads to a bandwagon effect, but interested to see the results.

There are posts where I do not qualify to vote but I'm interested in the results.
For example -
Someone recently posted a poll under the BLR category if they feel lonely?
I am not in BLR so my vote is irrelevant there, but I was interested in seeing if people feel lonely or not. I just used the see-results button and got to know.
why would people bandwagon if it's an anonymous poll and there is no reward for "choosing what's #1 currently". There are no incentives for bandwagoning. Unless you are implementing a feature where everyone can see what you voted on, then people would be hesitant to vote.
Thanks for the insight, i believe that is a valid point. It's just a little unconventional but it's a nice to have.
As far as bandwagoning goes, I made this comment on another post a while ago with a question someone else had about their app, and you're right there isn't an incentive. However, there's always the chance that results get skewed because not everyone actually votes honestly. For instance questions related to gender, politics, salary have the highest chances of people voting incorrectly even though it's an anonymous platform.
