Jake Ankhon Dekhi dekho The definition of evidence or proof changes with the dominant paradigm of the time. The credibility of the tests, replicability, inferences - It's the dominant paradigm which determines the truth.

Everyone does believe things without evidence. Though the scale largely varies. When you see a grapevine post tagged with x as the employer, and he/she posts that there is a layoff in company x. Do you ask for proof?

When someone from Europe says it is cold there, do you ask for proof?

When you see some claims about LLMs, do you read research papers to validate those claims ?

It is natural for every human being to trust things without validating as long as a certain level of trust is established. Otherwise our brain will be too busy with validating silly things and human beings won't be able to survive.
