As a manager I always advice the younger guys who report to me to always go for looks >> personality. This has 2 positive outcomes, as they choose looks over personality their mental peace is pretty much ruined after marriage and they keep searching for reasons so that they don't have to go home early, I can make them work for longer hours everyday and also on weekends & they don't complain about work from office. 2nd thing they learn is to never go to your workplace colleagues for personal life advice. I am pretty much ruining their lives but that also makes sure that my team performs well an eventually I climb up the corporate ladder whereas my reportees go back home to their miserable wives
