Trending @Infosys; Do we need to book seat if we want to work in another DC.
Like I want to work from another DC which is not my base location.Will attendance get marked I do not book a seat and just sit in general area. Basically I want to work from my hometown dc secretively as my manager wants me to work from my base location where manager sits.It's an non odc but he says clients has signed the project on 3 locations only.But in same dc manager sits different so he does not know if come or not to office.
You can work from another DC which is not your base location once or twice in a month but don't make it a regular habit because it's q violation of norms and at one point of time you will receive a warning mail from Infy. It happened with one of my colleague (Base DC is Bengaluru / Pune ) who visited frequently to Vizag DC
Was his manager kept in cc.Btw was any action taken against him.
Not necessarily, it might be a violation in case the client has requested you to work from a specific ODC. My base location is Bengaluru and I have been working from Noida DC since many months, I didn't receive any email like that.
