That I know but will they discuss certain things or simply impose/convey their decision to me ? In other words is it possible to negotiate or appeal once at that time , can they still tweak it or they will say it's already locked for this time ?

Will this be applicable to the notice period candidates??

They will simple call and say this is what we are giving...you are doing good job. But this is the budget we have ..bla...bla...same stories and same stupid stuff evey year...and finally they will update that in portal ...that 3% 5%

They don't discuss decisions with their respective reportees, no company does. But yes before all this begins you can convince your respective people lead with all your works and efforts you have put in the entire year which is then further represented by your people lead to the talent leads and then based on that the decision is made and is being further passed on to the group leads and MDs and HRs for approvals.

One on One discussion usually happens where you can share your aspiration & your lead can point what you need to improve.
