We see that many reputed colleges/universities in India as well as abroad have come up with completely online versions of their Master's degrees for working professionals. It's also mentioned everywhere that we get the same diploma in the end as the offline degree. Do these degrees hold any value in today's world?
Nope.. for universities, it is a chance to cash in their brand built over years ( presumably)... For edtech it is source of revenue, so they will say that it holds great value... Yet to see a HR who preferred Upgrad degree holder, vs an individual who actually went and lived through the period of education in person, mostly after clearing competitive exams
