Trending @Infosys; Do I need to work on project deliverables if I am on bench?

Recently my project code has been changed to unit bench but my manager has not informed me. Two weeks back he told me that I am getting released from project but there might be extension of one or two and he will let me know. But he is on leave since last week and nothing has been communicated with me. I tried to reach out to him but I have not got any reply. Shall I continue to work on project deliverables?
