DO I need to put my current location as Present Residential Address for Passport
So, I am living in Chennai for JOB since past 2 years, my home state is Bihar. Occasionally I go home once few month, Next I am planning to go to home in December, so I thought of applying for Passport as I can go to physical verification center there. Now the confusing part is, do I need to put the Chennai address for Present Residential Address? If yes, then what if I will be in hometown for physical verification! Frankly speaking I don't have much idea about how these thing work if anyone can help me clear these doubts I will be grateful. Thank you.

give present address the one where you will be available for verification....based on this, your password office location will change.... also you should be able to show address proof for present address....u can check list of acceptance documents link to know which proofs are acceptable
Give your Hometown address. You might keep changing your location as per your job. That'll be difficult to update in your passport every time.
