Do frontend devs get any respect anywhere?

I have never seen or heard of frontend developers getting a lot of respect in the company. The founding employees, CXOs, every major person seems to be a backend developer almost always.

My company has extremely great backend architects and people with a plethora of experience but UI team does not seem to have that.

Is this common in all companies? How do you navigate this? Should you prefer being a full-stack engineer instead?
