Trending @Infosys; Do educational qualifications matter when switching jobs?

I completed my diploma EEE and secured a job afterward. With three years of experience now, I’m considering switching current job. Does my educational background matter? Will other companies require a B.Tech qualification? I would appreciate your advice on this matter.
